Izola
Izola is an old fishing town with a rich history. With favorable coastal location in the north of Istria Izola with its marina also one of the leading centers of nautical tourism.
In 1820 it was discovered here in thermal water and then it has also launched the first tourism. Today the town is also important to the fisheries, since it was precisely in Izola built the first factory for processing and preserving of fish on the Adriatic coast. As a curiosity: the old part of the city lies on the former island. The island was inhabited already in the I century AD and was later connected to the mainland by a stone bridge connected. Simon Bay is located in the immediate vicinity of Izola, where water popular promenade. From here there is a magnificent view of Izola. You can leave the car in the parking lot above the bay, but in the summer months can be quite busy.
